Cashmere is a precious and delicate natural fiber that requires special care. With every wash, cashmere loses some of its natural wool grease, which protects the fibers and keeps them supple.
The Cashmere Care Shampoo from PAPA LOBSTER contains moisturizing ingredients and restores the valuable lanolin with every use. This not only keeps your cashmere clothing soft and supple, but also retains its luxurious, fluffy texture - over many washes. Ideal for keeping your favorite pieces in top condition.
Machine wash only with wool program, otherwise prefer hand wash. Please put coarsely knitted items in laundry bags. Hand wash: Soak items for approx. 10 to 15 minutes (max. 30°C water temperature), then gently squeeze through and rinse well with max. 30°C warm water. Do not rub or scrub.
Dab a few drops of PAPA LOBSTER Cashmere Care ontostains before washing and leave to work for approx. 10 minutes, then wash.
Drying: Gently pull cashmere items into shape on a towel and leave to dry flat. Do not dry on a radiator or in the sun.
Natural & gentle - for long-lasting softness and radiant colors.
Dosage for medium water hardness: Hand wash: 1 capful (10 ml) to 5 liters of water. Machine: 2 capfuls (main wash wool cycle). The specified dosage is sufficient for 24 hand washes or 12 machine washes.
PAPA LOBSTER Cashmere Care is based on natural raw materials. Ingredients: 15-30% anionic surfactants (from renewable raw materials), less than 5% skin care substances, lanolin polyethoxilate, fragrances, linalool, hexyl cinnamal. Preservation: potassium sorbate. Biodegradable according to OECD screening test: readily biodegradable.

Designed by two mothers, our products have been tried and tested on the playground, at the beach, when baking, painting and crafting and have been rated as particularly hard-wearing and easy-care: Dirt and liquids often simply roll off. And if you can't avoid washing it, simply put your PAPA LOBSTER knitwear in the washing machine (wool wash cycle + liquid wool detergent).
How to care for PAPA LOBSTER cashmere
Cashmere regenerates after every wash and retains its original shape thanks to the elastic recovery of the fibers. In addition, cashmere only forms its typical fluff when it is worn and washed, giving it its fluffy, cuddly soft character. So don't be afraid of regular washing, which makes our cashmere items more beautiful and cozier. PAPA LOBSTER recommends the following care instructions so that you and your children can enjoy your purchase for a long time:
Machine wash
Our PAPA LOBSTER products are 100% suitable for everyday use as they are absolutely easy to care for. Simply wash our cashmere cold or up to 30 degrees in the household washing machine at 400 rpm on the wool cycle with liquid wool detergent.
Hand wash
An alternative to the washing machine is a gentle hand wash in lukewarm water at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees with liquid wool detergent. The cashmere items should not be over-washed or left in the water for too long. Gentle immersion and light squeezing are sufficient to loosen dirt particles. The cashmere items should then be carefully rinsed with clear water.
Drying
Cashmere should never be put in the dryer or hung up to dry, otherwise it will lose its shape. PAPA LOBSTER therefore recommends laying the damp cashmere product flat on a towel or other absorbent surface to dry and gently pulling it into shape.
Ironing
When ironing, the steam iron should be run over the cashmere at a low temperature and without strong pressure. Gentle steam ironing after washing helps the cashmere pieces to regain their shape and, above all, allows the cashmere fibers to develop their typical fluffiness.
Pilling
It is natural for pilling, i.e. small pills, to form after a while due to wear and tear. These can simply be plucked off after washing or removed with a cashmere razor.

Cashmere machine wash
- Select a wool or delicate wash program at a maximum of 30 °C and reduced spin speed
- Simply add 2 caps of Cashmere Care Shampoo to the machine.
This protects delicate cashmere fibers, while the detergent cleans deeply and moisturizes.
Cashmere hand wash
- Fill a basin or bowl with lukewarm water (up to 30 °C) and add 1 capful.
- Soak your cashmere item for 10-15 minutes and gently massage the shampoo into the fibers.
- After rinsing, gently squeeze out (do not wring!) to preserve the shape and softness for as long as possible.
